To All The Teachers Who've Loved Me Before

Imagine how the world look like without teachers. Imagine if the teachers and the word itself does not even exist at all. What would have happened to the world?

Would there be a multiple language speaker? Would there be a mathematician or engineer? Would there be a scientist who can study the land, water, animals, humans and all matters? Would their be historians that could trace back the early civilizations? Would there be a doctor who is very important to humanity? How about pilot, police and politicians? Will they be able to exist without a teacher?

No, it would not and will never be.

You see, being a teacher is not ordinary. Their role is so important that without their existence. The world that we know right now? Maybe it is more than the worst that we could possibly imagine.
But sadly, being a teacher nowadays is one of the most underestimated profession. Why? Maybe because there are more high paying jobs out there or because of the uncontrollable development of technology that some favors the artificial intelligence teachers. Whatever it is, if you will look more closely you' ll be able to see that the importance of the teachers is already slowly diminishing.

Do you think they deserved it? Do you think TEACHERS deserved it? After so many years of training, preparation, and sacrifices in order to teach us. Is this how we should repay them?
From many sleepless nights in preparing the lessons to teach for the next day.

From getting stressed out with all headaches and problems that we students gave them.

From enduring every single day standing in front of the classroom and talking all day long but still maintained her calmness and posture.

From receiving all the complaints and dissatisfaction from the parents, caregivers, and even the school administrators.

From doing a house to house visitation and consideration of her students who are still confused and lost in their path of life.

From being sensitive and always ready to comfort when one of her student is struggling and about to give up.

From teaching every day with patience, perseverance and passion.

From being able to sacrifice even her own happiness just to ensure that her students will be prioritized and will be guided throughout their journey.

And the list goes on and on....

So what now? Do you think it is too many to be mentioned and may already seem impossible?

But believe it or not, those that I mentioned above still hasn't completely enumerate all the things that a teacher can do and sacrifice for her students.

Some of you may wonder, like how can she do that and why would she do that?

Because every teacher has its own duty and responsibility to carry. It is their duty to:
1. Be humble and promote democratic expression of her students.
2. Be courageous to protect her students to any possible harm and risks.
3. Be tolerant in any kind of differences her students may possess.
4. Be decisive in everything that relates to everyone's best interest.
5.  Be responsible for everything that will be placed upon her.
6. Be loving to foster genuine relationship and understanding her students.

And.......

7. Be appreciative of life so that she could become the model of her students in living their lives.

To be honest, it is very shameful to admit but we students seldomly think of our teacher's welfare. We oftentimes focused on our rants and complaints. About the tasks, activities, and projects that are assigned to us. When they actually have reasons behind those activities that we consider difficult.

They just love us so much that they want us to be prepared in real life and in the real world. They want us to withstand the bumpy and rough road in life because they have been there. They want us to be prepared somehow because there is no proper lessons in dealing with life.

Those stacked projects, assignments and activities that are assigned to you? The one that you were complaining about? It's not even a quarter of the struggles in life that you will about to encounter in the future.

They want nothing from us but to see us bravely facing and surviving the hardships in life. They want us to not forget them and their teachings and use it as our guide as we create our life journey.

How great and honored we have felt!
To receive such unconditional love.
We are so lucky and blessed.

So that's why I dedicate this letter to my greatest hero.

My friend, my second parent, my ultimate pillar.....

And my TEACHER.

From the bottom of my heart , I want to say, Thank you....Thank you very much!

Greatest hope that you will have a very Happy Teachers Day!!!
